Hi Folks
I have been printing three days straight with a client and not up on this..
You can load up to our server anytime,, put hybrid in the description anywhere so we know what is what at our end... Only problem is we are basically closed till Mon for Easter weekend so not sure how that will work for everyone.
get back to me and let me know how to get my images to everyone if my server is not appropriate.

Bob, if I upload my files to your site, will others be able to see them too?
I was thinking it'd be nice to have one central ftp server that is open to all, then everybody could download/upload from the same folder on the same site.
We could even create a little mpix account or whatever for that.

I'm no hard ass and since we've no place to put our uploads yet let's let it slide. I've been very busy today/this week as well Let's extend the deadline until March 28th.

Keith and others
If you give me to mon,, I will have Dylan my assistant handle the distribution and axcess to each others images.. send me a email with your details and how many images you want to upload, give them your name and small title.
I will then have Dylan contact each of you to gather the images and give you axcess to all the images.
It sounds complicated but really all he will do is place each persons images on the ftp server and give you all the codes for each persons image and you can look and download at your convienience.
you can give me an email at bob@elevatordigital.ca
and we will sort this out.
****Please do not email me any attachments or images, as this will tie up our operations if the files are large.. not cool***

No worries Bob.
OK. I've got this up. I need someone to test it though. It's IIS which can be a little tricky to determine if it's working outside the firewall. Should be anonymouse access. Note the port change from the standard 80 to 82 on the http server. FTP is running on 21 as usual. I'll try to update the webpage once a few come in and turn it into a gallery.

Michael et al, I am uploading a few files to the ftp site and it seems to be working alright. I put in some small jpeg versions as well.

I'm adding the submitted photos to a slideshow so that we can easily browse them and so the curious can see what's going too. Let me know how it works.

Trying to upload files but getting error that the "remote host cannot be found" I'm using Dreamweaver to try and do the ftp - with ftp://24.77.147.41/ in the ftp host and the appropriate passwords - using passive ftp. Any ideas? I can see it using my browser and enter the folders etc.

Carl, I got my files uploaded, but it was slow as molasses. I just used the ftp utility in internet explorer.

I'll get hold of Walter and remind him.
If all else fails, we can just do it amongst us three. I could add some other scans if people like. Pretty much anything on my site is available.

Sorry everyone. I'll get mine up within 24 hours or so. Hybridphoto isn't on my daily forum routine, and I sort of forgot about it.
Also, the original negative of the image I wanted to submit was hanging in my rental darkroom space downtown. I picked it up today, I just have to scan it now.

Okay, excuse the tardiness, but it's coming. It's a bit complex, I need to stitch two scanned 4x5s together to make the final negative. I tried autostitching in PS3 today and it left a big nasty seam, so I'll have to go at it again tomorrow (about to hit the hay here).

Mine are ready, but I'm having troubles with the FTP server (time-outs when I do an "ls" search). Might be the firewall here. I'll give it a go tonight, and if it fails I'll put them up on my webspace.

Okay, I'm putting them up on my website instead. They will be here once the upload finishes and I change permissions on the directory:
http://ashphotography.ca/negx/
There are four files. "Untitled_pano..." and "img012.tif" are two shots from my 4x5, the pano is a stitch job from two sheets (equiv. to 5x7" film with my 90mm lens). Both need some contrast adjustment, I uploaded the straight scans resized for about 11x14@300DPI, so you can curve them for your printing process and invert them.
The other two are just dinky little DSLR files, added just for the hell of it.

OK Walter. I'm putting them up now. Does anybody have a way of reaching Bob?
