How about starting a hybrid online periodical newsletter/publication? Set the topic schedule for each issue well in advance. Invite users to contribute vetted articles. Write an introduction/editorial explaining each issue. Invite guest editorials etc. When Post-Factory ceased publication I think a real hole was left in the alt-hybrid community. I looked at the last issue of MagnaChrom and thought "aaahhh! he's scooped us! We could do that here!". It doesn't have to be that slick. It's more work for sure but when the effort is made to create content it usually pays off. I don't mind working up the odd article for the articles section either but like the old saying goes "nothing focuses the mind like a deadline" (except for a punch in the nose ;)). It could even be annual, bi-annual or quarterly, depending on the interest. It would need a name.

I think this is a good idea, and would be willing to prepare an article that relates to some of the work we do here at Elevator.
I know John Callow is really busy guy, but if it was once or twice a year I am sure we all could make the deadlines without getting a punch in the nose.

How about The Chimera for a name? Or possibly The Gargoyle?

This is an excellent idea. As Bob mentioned, I am up to my ears at the moment, but will endeavor to put some structure to this.

Meanwhile, mkochsch are you interested in taking the lead?

BTW I like "Chimera" without the 'the.'

I like this too (both "Chimera" and Michael taking the lead).

_Chimera_ was the title of one of the most important Polish modernist journals of poetry and the arts, published from 1901-1907. It was illustrated in the style of art nouveau--

It's all available online here, if you want to browse through it--

"T" stands for "Tom" or "volume," so click on a volume number, then you can select a range of pages and browse through thumbnails. The text is in Polish, of course, but the graphics should be understandable.

Sure, I'll consider taking some sort of lead role. The scope of that should be discussed though.
