Hi Folks

The postal situation in the UK was settled last week and I've waited for a few days until the backlog of stuff cleared before sending my print. Everything is packed and will be in the mail this coming Monday. Many thanks for your patience and understanding.

At last my prints were mailed this morning so they should be tumbling through the letter box in the next week or so.

Les, received your beautiful print today, the combination light and water are very compelling. This is the first I've seen the Harmon paper, we are getting very close to traditional fiber paper these days.

I received Les's inkjet print yesterday and I enjoyed the photo very much. Waterfalls aren't usually my kettle of fish but this one is one of the better ones that I've seen. The Harmon technology matt has an interesting look. FWIW, I've been wowed lately looking at prints made on the new Harmon glossy FB paper. I compared a print made on it vs one made on Ilford Multigrade IV and there was very little difference in the two visually. These were enlargements from an 8x10 neg. The inkjet print was made from a file that was created by drum scanning the negative and the results were just stunning.

Just home from Dublin, thanks for the nice comments folks they are much appreciated. Do, you are so right about the new Harman FB Gloss, I made some prints just before I went to Dublin and frankly, I was a little frightened by the quality and just how much it looked like silver paper.

I just received a lovely print from Ray Heath today - man, that mail from Australia is slow. ;-)

yes Tom, definitely, as soon as i stop trying to "perfect" digital negs and accept that they, and alt process prints, have their own aesthetic
