as i am pretty clueless about inkjet printing and trying to learn , i bought some sample packs of paper to test to get an idea what what i might like.

i opened a pack of Lumijet trial paper this morning, and included is a hand out from Hahnemuhle, is Lumijet just another off shoot and do i use the hahnemuhle profiles?

as i said this may be a very basic question, but there is so much mis-information out here in cyber world i am inclined to only trust folks here.

thanks.

Yes and no.

You can download Lumijet and Hahnemuhle profiles from here.

http://www.photonews.ca/download/Hahnemuhle/PrintProfiles/printProfiles.asp?printer=Epson&category=1

or here:

ATLEX.Com has very good prices for Lumijet paper. Also I discovered last week that the Costco Kirkland glossy paper is the same as Ilford Smooth Glossy and the Ilford site has tons of profiles for different printers. The one I downloaded for my 2200 made very nice prints on the Kirkland paper.
