I am considering an ICG 360 and would like to hear your thoughts on this system, I have done tests and basically waiting until I can dig up the scratch to buy it.

I love the result my 8-bit tiffs are in RGB. But i have used a year to get the best out of it. I had trubble with the auto balancing before scan. Now for the first time i dig get all the 9 apertures balanced. SInce you cant do a IT8 calibration with ScanExact 9.5 i have done a lot af scanning of transmisson step wedges. ANd doene a lot of scans of colourcheckers, just to get the best out of the film types i use. Portra 160NC and Fuji Astia 100F is more than exelent to scan on my scanner.

I only do greybalancing during scans. The finala colour adjustment i do post scan. You can alwas email me if you want to discuss further.

Eric
are you not scanning in 16bit.
the 360 I am looking at allows for 16bit scans.
I will keep in touch with email as I get closer to purchase.
Can you get parts and service local to you?
The scans I have seen off this machine are the best I have seen and quite excited about possibly owning one.
