Hello all
I joined this site from APUG, pretty much when it was set up,so I guess its time to say Hi. I haven't looked into the site much yet due to the inelastic nature of time! I hope to visit more if I can.
I am commited to silver halide prints in the darkroom and work in B&W using toning and/or Lith printing for my work.
I have no wish to leave silver processing at all but I am interested in the hybrid approach for 2 reasons:
Firstly for digital editing -> digital negative -> contact printing onto silver in my darkrom.
Secondly, I am also interested in using digital output in order to give me different ways of reproducing my darkroom prints onto different materials & in different sizes.
I have experimented with the former after joining Dan Burkholder's workshop for a week at The Formulary a while back, but I haven't experimented with the latter yet, but plan to get an A3 scanner to archive my work next year as a basis to this.
I am not the fastest learner when it comes to digital matters!
Looking forward to picking a few brains ;-)
Tim
