Congratulations with the interesting exhibition. Unfortunately I am on the other site of the channel, so won't be able to visit it, but it certainly looks good. That new chrysotype process utilizing gold also looks very interesting, especially the unique red/violet/pink tones it produces

    Thanks for the support -

Our last exhibition, at Focus in the Birmingham NEC, drew a variety of comments, from "why would I want a print to look like THAT", to more appreciative noises.

The most interesting part of the NEC show was the large number of professional photographers who said they felt pushed into digital for commercial purposes. This current exhibition is presented to an art audience - I'll certainly report the feedback.

A new exhibition in the UK featuring a chrysotype print opened this week: "Our Infinite Day Trip" by Darren Edwards. Details at http://thegrey-area.blogspot.com/

Regarding "Gold, Blood and Salt", we had an especially good reaction to the chrysotypes, cyanotypes and salt prints on show. As you might expect, a very small percentage of people who viewed the exhibition had ever seen an iron-based print before, but the reaction was overwhelmingly positive.
