    Pictorico OHP dead or dying?

I was at B&H photo today (the world flagship photo supply store) looking to pickup an inkjet printer (Epson 3800). I spoke to one of the reps, a knowledgeable fellow, about picking up some Pictorico OHP white film for use with contact-printing silver. Though they had some in stock, it was just 1 size and the rep said that the company (Pictorico/Olympus) was in utter disarray. Can someone shed some light on this issue? If Pictorico is indeed dead in the water, what substitutes are out there?

Have a look in the Digital Negative section for a number of threads about alternatives to pictorico!

I just ordered some direct from Mitsubishi Imaging. 2nd order I've placed with them and it usually arrives in a few days.

    Jim,

Compare the variety of available Pictorico products to that of InkPress. You'll see what I'm talking about when I say it looks like Pictorico's in deep doodoo

Pictorico Paper used to be supplied by Olympus and they lost the line - they only ship what they have. The good news is Mitsubishi will have Pictorico Paper (not with the Olympus name) and we will know more after PMA.

Well, that explains why I can't find my favorite paper around here any more. Good thing I bought a bunch of extra a while ago.

BTW, Henry, you sure get around on these fora. Good to see B&H is paying attention.

I've been buying it from Mitusbishi for a while, but they're inventory seems very spotty. I like the new 20 sheet packs of 8.5"x11", but they're still out of 13"x19".

Just went to the Mitubishi site yesterday and the stock seems replenished. They have the 17" x 66' rolls and 13" x19" again.
