I watched your on line video and found it quite interesting. I used Accufine and Diafine in the '70s with 35 mm Tri-X with pretty good results. I primarily used it to shoot concerts in low light environments. There was a true speed increase but to get decent prints I usually printed on Agfa Brovira grade 3 and mostly 4. But I was also underexposing the film some and was usually only interested in capturing details of the performers in the spot lights. In those days stage lighting wasn't nearly as good as it is now - much less available light.

I've ordered some more Diafine and I'll be interested to see how it works with Tri-X 400 120 scanned. I will mention that I can across a comment on Photo.net in recommending it as a good developer for film that is going to be scanned, speciffically Tri-X. This was a message dated in 2005 - so it seems there is rarely anything new under the sun.
