Need Help getting Eye One Display 2 to work on my PC

I just bought the Eye One Display 2 and I am have problems with the installation.

Per the instructions, I've installed the software first and rebooted the PC. Upon rebooting I connected the hardware onto my PC which runs the XP operating system, once connected my pc recognises the hardware and begins to automatically install the drivers. However, when I open the Eye One Match 3 software to perform my monitor calibration I get the message, "Device not Found. Check the connections and try again." It appears that the software and the hardware are not communicating with one another.

I've gone to the Xrite website to trouble shot and found their instructions for "Reinstalling a Reluctant i1 Device" but that hasn't worked for me. I've also uninstalled and then reinstalled the software but without any success. Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks again.

Did you try a different USB port for the puck? I had the same trouble installing Eye1 on XP and that cleared it up.

What kind of colorimeter are you trying to use? Older DTP94s maynot work with i1Dispaly. I know this from past experience. The later models have an internal serial number that the software needs to recognize. I got the same error you are describing. After updating the colorimeter the problem vanished and the software worked! I am assuming you have updated the drivers for the colorimeter.

I bought it brand new from B&H last week. I am assuming that they sold me the latest Eye-One Display 2 Colorimeter. I did go to the Xrite website to download the latest drivers and software.

Then you need to contact xRite tech support ASAP. Something is definitely not right. But it sounds to me like the colorimeter doesn't match the software.
