    Old Developer Staining Negatives?

    Hey all,
So I have some older D-76 developer that is a little yellowed it seems form either light or whatever reason which i've been using to develop black and white film with. The negatives dry clear as day with no cast or tone to them, however, when I scan them they have a sepia type tone to them. Do you think this could be from using the old developer? The images are clear and crisp just with a sepia tone. Let me know what you think, thanks!

Check your scanner settings, you probably have the scanner set up for colour, so it's tinting the images due to the lack of an orange mask.
