    Hey from North Carolina

I'm almost but not quite new here, having popped in last November with some questions about digital negs for POP, and having lurked aroung some since then. Anyway, it's probably time that I show enough social grace to introduce myself!

I've lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina for nearly nine years now, and as a photographer I've worked in one or another hybrid mode for the past six or seven years. Currently I'm shooting a lot of b&w film (MF) for scanning, and have been finding myself drawn ever more to alternative processes, which means of course that I've been keenly interested in producing digitally enlarged negatives. I've found a wealth of info on that topic here that's helped me a great deal already, although I've got a lot to learn. Aside from a flirtation with the POP, I've been working with VDBs (not happy with results yet) and ziatypes (these are making me smile more lately). I'll try to post some scans in the gallery soon.

Anyway, it's great to be here and get to learn a bit from some pretty amazing photographers and printers. Hope that I'll be able to contribute something eventually.

    cheers,
    Ken Jackson

    Ken,

RTP is a hot bed for photography. You can make it to Cary and to Chapel Hill! Maybe Joe would come over to sleepy Chapel Hill and get away from all the traffic.....

    Mike
